HOPE worldwide Southern Connecticut held its 1st Annual Hoops for HOPE recently to raise funds for Early Childhood Development in Africa. For 12 hours they played basketball and raised $10,000 for orphans and little children in Africa. John Rountree led the efforts to raise funds after his son, Ben, came back from a HOPE Singles Corps in South Africa that really changed his life. Ben produced a fantastic video of that work and his experience there. The team in Connecticut plans to make this a great, annual event. Thanks to the whole team for all their work.
